About
My work bridges advocacy and learning design. I founded INCIID, one of the first online nonprofits to support families facing infertility and pregnancy loss, delivering credible information and compassionate community during moments often marked by stigma and silence. As a mother through birth after loss and through international adoption—and author of Before There Was You—I also coach parents of children with disabilities to navigate the special education process with clarity and confidence.
In parallel, I am experienced with instructional design across higher education, healthcare, and nonprofit settings, creating interactive, accessible learning that meets real-world needs. I build with Articulate Storyline 360, Vyond, Camtasia, and Adobe Creative Cloud, and I anchor every project in WCAG/Section 508 compliance, including alt text, focus order, and inclusive visuals. My courses blend evidence-based pedagogy with multimedia storytelling—branched scenarios, simulations, and microlearning—to drive measurable learner outcomes.
I've presented nationally and internationally through webinars, medical seminars, and conferences, with a consistent goal: to provide accurate, actionable, and always-accessible information that empowers families, learners, and professionals. I live in Northern Virginia with my husband, David, our two daughters, a Golden Retriever service dog, a Maine Coon mix cat, and a beloved therapy horse.
